As Earth Churns…27b. The Throne Room

Several hours later the narrative, mainly delivered by God and Jesus, was concluded by Michael. “So you see, with every inclination of the thoughts of men’s hearts being evil all the time, the Father is deciding the fate of mankind.”

“The fate of mankind?” Enoch asked.

God stated seriously, “I am trying to decide whether to destroy everyone and everything and start from scratch or if perhaps there still lies the possibility of salvaging mankind.”

Rafael took up the monologue, “So the Father wants me to investigate the situation and report back to Him what I discover with recommendations and suggestions.”

Gabriel chimed in, “It’s one of those times when God has chosen NOT to entirely rely on His omniscience.”

“That’s right,” stated Jesus. “And He thought that Enoch might enjoy accompanying Rafael on his mission of discovery.”

God continued, “So, what do you say Enoch? Are you up for a little adventure including a return trip to your homeland on earth?”

“Wow! You bet!” Enoch voiced exuberantly. “That sounds exciting! Will I get to see my children and grandchildren?”

Jesus answered, “Yes, you will. It’s all been arranged. Rafael will fill you in on the details. The two of you will be accompanied by Michael and a few of his angel warriors as well as Zerub, who will act as messenger between your group and heaven.”

“Just one question,” said Enoch.

“Sure, ask anything,” Jesus answered.

Enoch stated thoughtfully, “Why are the warrior angels necessary?”

Michael responded, “That’s a good question. It’s because Satan and his forces are still basically in charge of the realm of earth. They all remain disguised and seek to waylay any unsuspecting humans or angels. The Beast will think twice about bothering any group accompanied by my troops.”

Rafael questioned the human, “Enoch, how long will it take you got ready to leave?”

Enoch’s immediate answer was, “I’m ready now!”

“Then what are we waiting for?” Michael interjected. “Let’s go!”

Jesus turned to Rafael, “Then we’ll expect your timely reports.”
Enoch pondered, “How long do we have?”

God answered this time, “As long as it takes for you to fully discover how great man’s wickedness on the earth has become.”

With that the group disembarked from the Throne Room heading out the door. Their destination was the Earth Overlook.
