As Earth Churns…18. Meditation Room

“Come in, Son,” God called out gently. “You too, Michael. I was expecting you.”

“You were, Father?” Jesus asked surprised.

“Yes, just because I’ve temporarily blocked your omniscience, doesn’t mean I’ve stopped using mine.” Before either guest could respond, God continued. “Michael, you’re doing an excellent job of keeping track of the happenings on Earth. I’m aware of all that goes on. The reason I need you to have first-hand knowledge of Lucifer’s plans and of Adam and Eve’s lives is that someday I will need you to intervene on my behalf. I am going to vastly limit my actual appearances on Earth from now on. You, Michael, Jesus, and even Gabriel at times will be my main messengers in those lower realms.”

“I serve at your pleasure, Lord,” Michael declared.

“I know you do, Michael; that’s why I have your next assignment,” God acknowledged. “You are to immediately take your most trusted warrior angels from the work gangs and lead them to Earth. Go to Lucifer and confront him. Tell him that if he values his miserable existence, he and his followers will stay completely away from the newborn babes of Adam and Eve and leave them alone until they are at least 21 years of age.”

“Newborn babes?” Michael asked, “Did I hear you right, Lord?”

“You did,” God explained. “They will have two sons very soon; and I want them to grow into men before Satan and his followers have any contact with them.”

“Imagine that!” Michael murmured to himself as though in a daze. “Twins.”

“Not twins, Michael,” God intervened in the angels thoughts. “Eve will have two sons, but they won’t be twins. The first will be born very soon. The second boy will come forth later, about 10 months later.”

Jesus, silent until now, posed a question that was also on the angel’s mind, “What if Lucifer won’t listen?”

God finalized the conversation with a vehement yet matter-of-fact, “He won’t! When you and your band confront him, he will be reminded that I still have the power to destroy him at any time.”

“Why don’t you, Father?” Jesus asked. “Wouldn’t that make mankind’s life on Earth much more pleasant?”

“Possibly, but when we gave man free choice, we set the stage for sin and evil in that world,” God explained. “Man will be faced with good and bad choices all the days of his life. At the heart of the bad will be the devil. Lucifer will continually plant the temptation and desire within man’s heart to select evil over good. Often man will win that struggle; but ultimately, he will lose. That’s where you come in, Jesus.”

“Really, Father?” Jesus anticipated. “Is it time for that talk?”

“I believe it is, Son,” God agreed. “Michael, if you will excuse us.”

“Yes, sir!” Michael turned to leave. “I have a mission to accomplish. See you both soon.”
“Bye,” Father and Son stated in unison.
